The Power of Native ISVs in the Salesforce and Claudeforce Era
Salesforce is entering another important chapter in the evolution of CRM.
The announcement of Claudeforce brings together Salesforce and Anthropic in a new way, combining Claude's reasoning capabilities with Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, permissions, and governance. It is another signal that the way people interact with enterprise software is beginning to change.
For decades, enterprise applications have largely been destination driven. You open Salesforce, navigate to an Account, find an Opportunity, review Contacts, run a report, update information, and move on to the next task.
AI is beginning to change that model.
Instead of always navigating through an application to find information, users will increasingly be able to ask questions, request outcomes, and allow AI to reason across the underlying systems and information available to them.
That creates an interesting question for the Salesforce ISV ecosystem.
What happens to applications when AI increasingly becomes part of the interface?
From our perspective at Squivr, the answer is exciting. We believe great native applications become even more important because the business context, structure, intelligence, and workflows they add to Salesforce can make both traditional and AI-driven experiences more valuable.
Native Has Always Meant More Than an Interface
One of the reasons we chose to build Squivr natively on Salesforce was simple: that is where our customers already work.
Their Accounts are there. Their Opportunities are there. Their Contacts, Activities, customer history, and revenue data are there.
We never wanted account planning or relationship intelligence to become another disconnected destination where teams had to duplicate information and maintain another version of the customer.
Instead, we wanted to extend Salesforce itself.

Those experiences remain incredibly important.
But the emergence of AI-driven interfaces potentially gives that underlying intelligence another purpose.
The value of an application is no longer limited to what someone can see on the screen. Increasingly, it will also be determined by the business context and capabilities it contributes to the broader Salesforce environment.

This is where the Claudeforce announcement becomes particularly interesting.
Imagine being able to ask:

The answer becomes more valuable when the system understands not only the Account and Opportunity, but also the customer's organizational structure, key stakeholders, relationship strength, strategic initiatives, account plan, competitive position, whitespace, open actions, and historical execution.
Or imagine asking:

"Which accounts have significant whitespace but limited executive relationships?"
"Which strategic initiatives are falling behind?"
"Which customers should I prioritize this week?"
"Where are competitors gaining influence?"

AI can reason over the information available to it. The richer and more structured that business context becomes, the greater the potential value of the experience.
That is why we believe native ISVs have an important role to play in this next generation of Salesforce.

People still need visual applications.
Sometimes the best way to understand a complex customer organization is to see an Org Chart.
Sometimes you need to visually map the relationships surrounding an Opportunity.
Sometimes an Account Manager needs to sit down with a team and work through an Account Plan.
Sometimes the easiest way to analyze hundreds of Accounts is through a powerful Grid.

And sometimes the fastest way to get an answer will be to simply ask Claude.
These experiences do not need to compete with each other.
The future of enterprise software is unlikely to be UI or AI.
We believe it will increasingly be UI and AI, with the best interface determined by what someone is trying to accomplish.
That creates a powerful opportunity for native ISVs.
Native Applications Can Become Intelligence Layers
This changes how we think about the role of an application.
Historically, an ISV might have primarily thought about the features users interact with directly.
What screens do we build?
What components do we create?
What buttons do users click?
Those things still matter.
But the next generation of ISVs may also need to ask a different question:
What unique business intelligence does our application contribute to the platform?
For Squivr, that is where things get particularly exciting.
The relationship map isn't valuable only because someone can visually look at it. The underlying relationship intelligence has value.
The Account Plan isn't valuable only because someone can open the plan. The strategy captured within it has value.
Whitespace isn't valuable only because someone can view a matrix. The underlying revenue opportunity has value.
An Action Plan isn't valuable only because someone can see the tasks. The execution data has value.
Analytics aren't valuable only because someone can see a dashboard. The patterns and signals underneath that dashboard have value.
When those capabilities exist natively around Salesforce data, they can potentially contribute to a much broader intelligence layer across the revenue organization.
Better Context Can Create Better AI
There is a simple reality behind enterprise AI.
AI cannot understand business context that has never been captured.
If stakeholder relationships aren't documented, there is less relationship context to reason across.
If Account Plans live in disconnected documents, there is less structured strategy available.
If whitespace isn't identified, there is less context around expansion potential.
If strategic initiatives aren't tracked, it becomes harder to understand whether the organization is actually executing its strategy.
If competitive information isn't connected to the account, AI has less information about the environment surrounding the opportunity.
This is one reason we believe Account Planning and Relationship Intelligence become more important, not less important, in an AI-first world.
The better the context, the better the potential intelligence.

A Director may evaluate account planning and relationship trends across a region.
A VP may use Squivr Analytics to understand pipeline, revenue, whitespace, and account health.
An executive may want a strategic view of performance.
And increasingly, any of those users may simply want to ask a question and receive an intelligent answer based on the same underlying context.
Different experiences.
Different roles.
Different interfaces.
But one connected Salesforce foundation.
A Bigger Opportunity for the Salesforce Ecosystem
The conversation around AI can sometimes become unnecessarily binary.
Will AI replace applications?
Will agents replace SaaS?
Will conversational interfaces replace traditional CRM?
We think there is a more interesting possibility.
AI could make great applications significantly more valuable.
Salesforce provides an incredible platform. Claude brings powerful reasoning capabilities. ISVs bring specialized expertise, business processes, workflows, data structures, and intelligence.
Bring those pieces together and the customer can potentially receive something far more powerful than any one layer could deliver independently.
That is the strength of an ecosystem.
Salesforce does not need to solve every specialized business problem.
Claude does not need to inherently understand every organization's revenue methodology.
And Squivr does not need to become the system of record or the AI platform.
Each can focus on where it creates differentiated value.

That is the opportunity we see ahead.
The interface to enterprise software may be changing dramatically.
But for native ISVs focused on creating meaningful business context and solving real customer problems, the opportunity to add value may be bigger than ever.
